With the biggest day of the year at Gowran Park, the Goffs Thyestes Chase Day just around the corner, it has just been announced that BoyleSports are strengthening their racecourse presence in Ireland with the takeover of the SP shop in Gowran Park. BoyleSports has a number of shops in the locality in Kilkenny, Carlow, Bagenalstown, Castlecomer, Callan, Urlingford & Thomastown. Fit out is taking place at present and will be ready in time for the biggest race day of the year in Gowran Park on Thursday 23rd January.

Gowran Park Manager Eddie Scally is really looking forward to the new partnership and feels it’s a great fit for Gowran Park Eddie added “we are delighted to welcome BoyleSports to Gowran Park starting on Goffs Thyestes Day Thurdsay January 23rd, Boylesports have really started to increase their presence in this region in the past number of years and we feel the product & service they provide the racing public is second to none. Gowran Park has a busy schedule of meetings right across the year with 17 race meetings in 2020. There are six national hunt meetings from October to March plus a busy flat schedule culminating with the Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes in September won this year by English raider Four White Socks.

This latest announcement comes on the back of the news in recent days that BoyleSports have taken over the William Hill betting shops in Northern Ireland bringing their number of shops on the island to 298.
