A fantastic turn out on Saturday for Jim Walsh’s Presidents Prize. With slick greens and blue tees the scoring resembled a US Open leader board with only three players managing to beat 36 points. The winner on count back was John Barcoe playing off 15 and shooting 38 points. Joe Sweeney was second shooting another impressive 38 points. Third place went to Stephen Roche who raced in with 37 points. No surprise with the Gross Prize winner, Paudie Lannon playing off 2 shot a great 4 over par. Claiming the prize on count back from Paul Whelan.

Nine Hole
This week’s Brendan McDermott Golf Academy Golf Shop 9 hole winner is Matty Byrne. Matty may have been out of town on the first but was city centre based the remaining eight holes to post a great 5 up on the v-par format. Mags Logue was second on count back with 2 up while Mick Fitzpatrick came third.
Birdie hole was the 8th.
