Race Night:

The Golf Club is holding a Race Night fundraiser in Gowran Park on Saturday 20th March at 8pm. This promises to be a fun, sociable night out with a Tote, Auction Race, and Spot Prizes. Horses can be bought in the bar this weekend and your support on the night would be most appreciated.

Weekend Result:

Sunday proved to be a beautiful day for golf. The frost that was forecast didn’t interfere much with play and, after only a very brief delay, play got underway. Although it was cold and breezy, there was some lovely sunshine and it made for a very enjoyable day’s golf.

1st Pat Russell (18) 41 pts.
2nd John M Brennan (17) 39 pts.
3rd Tommy Bolger (19) 38 pts.

On Sunday next, 14th March, there is an Open Fourball, €25 for visitors. Phone 056 7726699 to arrange a booking.

Before the seasons gets underway in earnest, make sure your handicap is in order. A lot of new members have joined and in order to transfer your handicap, you must submit your current handicap cert from your previous club. Mark it for the attention of the Handicap Secretary. Once this is received it it’s a simple task to get you up and running and ready to play competitive golf.
If you have joined and are a first-time member of a golf club, you will need to complete 3 full rounds with an existing member (that already has an official handicap). Submit these 3 cards together for the attention of the Handicap Secretary.

Club Matchplay:

If you want to play in the Club Singles Matchplay this year, you must enter by March 31st. More details on the notice board at the club as well as on the members blog online.
