Big congrats to Ger Treacy who represented Gowran in Roscrea in the Captains Prize Winners competition last Friday. Ger qualified with a super 39 points, he wins a trip to the Algarve along with the other 3 qualifiers to compete for the overall All Ireland Captains Prize Winner.
He is looking for a caddie for the few days in Portugal, so all interested contact him quick!
Nine Hole
This week’s Brendan McDermott Golf Academy Golf Shop 9 hole winner is Jim Walsh. Jim now heads the league table and guaranteed himself a spot in the playoff final on October the 4th. With only 2 rounds remaining to qualify for the playoff it’s still wide open. Even if you have no points to date, two victories should see qualification. The predicted qualification mark is 20 points, depending on results it may drop to 19. Anyone above 20 points has mathematically qualified at this stage.

Matchplay Season
Another reminder to play your matchplay matches.
James Doyle & John Barcoe are our first finalist in the Fourball Matchplay. They await the winners of the Joe Sweeney & Alex Dunne/Matty Byrne & Philip Dreeling match.
The Singles Matchplay is also getting close to a finish. Dave Kearney plays George Barcoe and the winner meets Richie Lowry in the first semi-final.
Ciaran Whelan is waiting to meet the winner of the Paul Whelan/Pat Hynes match in the second semi-final.
