A record turnout over the weekend saw 85 contest the May Monthly Medal. The course proved as tough as ever with 70 nett claiming first position. Michael Carey playing off 6 took first place shooting level for the back nine. Paudie took the Gross prize with a super 73 gross, showing what a pint of milk a day can do for your golf.
Ger with a great 71 nett took second place, 5 bogeys on the trot to finish scuppered a possible great card! One to watch in the betting for the Captains..
Another young pretender was third, Ciaran Whelan shooting a nett 72.
