After the Monthly Medal carnage a nice handy White Tee Stableford competition was on the cards last weekend! Unfortunately the weather decided to try a new tact and instead of freezing conditions or buckets of rain it blew a gale.
Drivers were spotted on the ninth tee, which accounts for it been the toughest par 3 over the weekend. It averaged 4.09 strokes, 8th overall. The four other pars 3’s were the 4 easiest holes. The 12th as usual was at number 1 averaging 6.63 shots.
1st Davey Vaughan 38 points off 7
2nd Larry Cleere 37 points off 5
3rd Barry Ashmore 36 points off 16

Next weekend including Easter Monday there is a 3 Person Rumble.
Our first Team outing of the year was the Mixed against Mount Juliet. As is often the case home advantage proved vital as we won our three home matches while losing both away matches.
Gowran Park GC 3 v Mt. Juliet GC 2
Niamh & Eoin won nice and early, Captain Ger & Paul Won with a hole to spare and Ann & Alex took the spoils on the last. Sinead & Joe and Helen & Sean were beaten in Mount Juliet.
