GOWRAN PARK GOLF CLUB Course Update COVID-19 Measures at Gowran Park
We hope you are keeping well during these difficult times.
The staff in Gowran Park have made a number of on course changes to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Please note the following while playing your round of golf presently.
The golf hole has been raised on the green so as to minimise the amount of crossover - if your ball hits the pin take it as been in.
Please refrain from handling the flag stick at all times.
Bunker rakes have been taken in altogether to minimise contact....please smooth over the sand with your shoe.
The airline for cleaning has been taken out of action.
The office remains open for those who want to book times. Tee times MUST be booked online or by phone PRIOR to your round. Members must start from the first tee and not cut in on the 10th tee unless otherwise told by staff. The office is open to make enquiries along with a payment facility to fix up part or all of your subscription.
Please note that we feel that members / guests are not allowed to have young kids/children accompanying players on the golf course at this time. This matter has been raised by a number of members over the last number of days and it is felt that this is not good practice with the estranged times we find ourselves in. Junior members under the age of 18 have also been asked to suspend their membership until it's felt that we are in a safer place. Only Juniors whose parent/s are playing members are allowed to play accompanying their parents. This decision has not been an easy one but one we feel must be implemented to maintain our facilities open in a safe manner for all members and guests. If you have any questions please do contact the pro shop office at Gowran Park .
In addition to the measures we have taken at Gowran Park, members are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times and keep a safe distances (6.5 feet / 2 metres) from other people.
These measures are important for the safety of all players and will help to maintain the important social activity that we enjoy so much. Club membership has never been more important.
To all members.. We are asking all members to be vigilant at this time and to be respectful to everyone and adhere to HSE guidelines with regard to the coronavirus situation. The golf course along with the clubhouse / restaurant remains OPEN for play and use. We are asking all golfers NOT to touch the FLAGSTICK and leave in the hole as it is one of the only communal items that potentially everyone could touch. Cards to be left in box and NOT ENTERED IN COMPUTER as the screen is another touch point.Enjoy your golf at this time and stay safe. Gowran Park. Opt out reply:Stop ... See MoreSee Less
