Christmas Gala Day
Members are reminded that the Christmas Gala Day and golf outing will take place on Saturday 15th December – the competition will be a team event with a draw for partners to take place at lunchtime. Prizegiving and social evening will take place after the golf along with presentation to respective club fourball and matchplay winners. All members are encouraged to attend.
Members Winter League
Members enjoyed an 11 hole singles competition, part of their winter league over last weekend. Pat Staunton, playing steady golf at the moment, secured top spot with 28 points playing off 16 handicap. Gerry Minogue playing of 14 took the runner up spot with 26 points on a countback The league continues next week with a timesheet in place for Sunday.
Autumn Series
Autumn Series Finalists will be contacted shortly ahead of the final scheduled for Friday 14th December. The weather has impinged on the last couple of rounds so this Thursday and Friday will prove the last opportunity for competitors to qualify.
Golden Golfers – 11 Hole Fourball – Friday 30th November, 2012
Friday last saw our Golden Golfers play a fourball event over 11 holes. Pat Staunton partnered by Eileen Tobin took the top spot ahead of Mick Bolger and Brigid Mullins. President Eamon Kealy and Peter O’Shea took 3rd spot. All competitors seemed to hit the magic score of 28 points with a countback dividing the spoils.

Membership Update
