Members Winter League – Sunday 25th November
Similar to the previous weekend, a shotgun start took place at 11.00 a.m. due to frost. The day resulted in competition secretary, Ger Treacy, scoring a splendid 27 points playing off 7 handicap to secure top spot. Tony Dooley (16) took the runners up spot on a countback with 26 points. The Winter League continues next weekend with a timesheet in place for Sunday.
Christmas Gala Day– Members are reminded that the Christmas Gala Day and golf outing will take place on Saturday 15th December – the competition will be a team event with a draw for partners to take place at lunchtime. Prizegiving and social evening will take place after the golf along with presentation to respective club fourball and matchplay winners. All members are encouraged to attend.
Autumn Series (Singles) – Thursday 29th and Friday 30th November – Owing to poor weather conditions the competition last week was cancelled. The competition is back in play this week for visitors and members with two more opportunities to qualify for the grand final scheduled to take place on Friday 14th December.
Golden Golfers 11 Hole Stableford Competition – Friday 23rd November
Our Golden Golfers were out in force on Friday last with an 11 hole singles competition in play. Pat Roche (16) secured top spot with 27 points on a countback from Gerry Doyle (11). Jim Fisher (20) and John Barcoe (13) took 3rd and 4th spot recpectively with 24 pts.

Birdie hole (3rd) was won by Kieran Mahon (12) who also had birdies on the 6th and 8th. Well done to Kieran and all the prizewinners. Next weeks’ competition will be a team event and all are welcome. Draw at 10 a.m. every Friday.
