Congratulations to Gowran member Tony Treacy on winning the trophy.
An extraordinary amount of players were disqualified in the Intermediate Scratch Cup on Sunday due to incorrectly filled out scorecards, no handicaps recorded, no date etc.
The prize giving will take place on Wednesday 28th July after the 9 hole competition. Prize givings are usually held once a month (after the last 9 hole competition in each month).

Inter-Club Golf:
Gowran Park faced Wicklow in the Leinster Quarter Finals which was held at a neutral venue (Coolattin) on Saturday. After a great victory of 3.5 to 1.5, Gowran now go forward to the semi-finals which will take place at Dun Laoighre at the end of the month.
Well done to all concerned – players, management and supporters.

Midweek 9-Hole:
The 9 hole competition continues throughout the summer. It’s a great social evening and a chance to get some practice in before the more serious competition on the weekend!
Just show up on the Wednesday evening (around 5pm) and you’ll always get someone to join up with. There is also a special 9-hole menu laid on in the bar upstairs afterwards.

Club Matchplay Competitions:
The Club Singles Matchplay is at the quarter-final stage and this round is to be played by 21st July.
Michael Pitt has already won through to the semi-finals from the top half of the draw and Mark Hennessy has also come through from the bottom half. The remaining quarter finals are to be played by July 21st.
The Club Fourball Matchplay has some second round matches remaining to be played, also before July 21st.
