Great news!Gowran Park Minor Cup Team are through to the mid Leinster finals.The team of Maura Coe ,Catherine O Driscoll, Gay Latchford ,Eithne Donnelly ,and Joan Murphy produced some outstanding golf to beat Wexford in New Ross last Tuesday.There were no nerves on display as Eithne Donnelly finished her match on the 12th.hole.She was just in time to see Maura Coe shaking hands with the opposition on the 15th.green followed swiftly by another victory by Joan Murphy on the 16th.green.Game ,set and match to Gowran ,a delighted Gay Latchford and Catherine O Driscoll were called in off the 17th. and 18th. holes where both players were in control of their game.The team under the watchful eye of their manager Ann Farrell are looking forward to the final against Athy in Wexford on August 27th.
