The 2012 Golfer of Year for the second year running is Gay Latchford who had the competition won a week before it was finished – nobody could catch her as she was gone 12 points ahead. It’s great to see a member who has participated in more competitions than any other lady member this year getting such a great prize and recognition of her contribution to the ladies club.
The ILGU Medal Winners for 2012 are:
Silver Medal and Spoon – Kate Hennessy. Playing off 10 Kate has had some brilliant results this year and is a very steady golfer – very well deserved as her strokeplay scores have been consistently good.
Bronze Medal – Ger Hickey (22) – Ger is a valued member of Gowran park and a lovely golfer. Currently injured we have no doubt that when she recovers she will be a force to be reckoned with once more.
